Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is an American professional basketball player for the La Clippers on the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he's got began exclusively for the position of point guard. Paul has received the NBA Rookie of the Year Trophy, an Olympic gold medal, and led a National basketball association on assists 3 times and steals six times. He has already been chosen to seven NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and 6 All-Defensive teams.
Paul is a McDonald's All-American in high school. He attended Wake Forest University for two years of university basketball where he helped the Demon Deacons reach their initial truly number one ranking. He had been picked fourth all round on the 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded into the Clippers in 2011.
In December 8, 2011, the Hornets agreed to a three-team deal transferring Paul on the L . A . Lakers. The NBA, that owned the team at the time, nullified the offer, with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans are the best off keeping Paul.The clubs taking part in the transaction attempted to negotiate the league to reverse its ruling and reconstruct the offer does not help.On December 12, the Hornets accepted a trade sending Paul into the Los Angeles Clippers, even so the deal broke down after the NBA added further demands for the original conditions. 2 days further, the teams finally made the trade, sending Paul and two future 2nd round draft picks to the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, plus the Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick on the 2012 draft. Upon the deal's conclusion, Paul declared which he would choose to the final season of his agreement and remain on L . A . for at least two more seasons.
