Tranny Love

Last night I watched Mulholland Drive. It was a truly brilliant film which barely made sense though. I reccomned it. The "Cowboy" scene" and the singer in the Silencio club was worth it alone. Mesmorizing!! If anyone out there can explain what the fuck it was all about I'd love to know!

Well I got the job! It's not quite what I wanted, I shall be in the "Fresh Days" section where I basically stock the shelves with meat and butter, reduce goods and keep the area tidy. But it's nearer to where I live (so I won't have to catch buses that make me late for work and are expensive), pays better and hopefully management won't be evil. Fingers crossed! I'm handing my letter of resignation in tomorrow :-) Once I know my hours of work I plan to do some part-time studying. I want to study php and all things web design! So hopefully I shall enjoy learning that and maybe one day that will be my career.

I rented the film The Others. I must say it gets quite spooky and I thoroughly reccomend it!

Tonight, on BBC, I watched Tipping the Velvet which is the tv dramatisation of the novel by Sarah Waters. The story is set in the 1890s and is notable for its lesbian sex. It is sumptuous, sexy and passionate. Wether you are gay or straight makes no difference, you should watch it because of the story.
There seems to be a bit of a hoohar when lesbians and gay men have sex on tv. Can't understand the shock value myself.

My boss made an annoying comment to me anch which I had to hold my tongue. She was talking about her holiday that she and her husband (Bill) recently went on. "Well Bill didn't really like the resort we stayed in because there were a lot of gay men staying. There were alot of gay men going back on the plane as well. I don't think we shall visit that resort again."
I'm guessing all "the gay men" will probably be thankful for that.

Did anyone know that Play School is making a come-back? Unfortunately now re-named "Tikkabilla". It seems that the only similarity to Play School is the "looking through the windows". Sadly, "there are no plans to revive any of Play School's most popular characters - including cuddly toys Big and Little Ted, Humpty and Jemima." Hey those dudes made the show what it was! Remember that ugly doll Hambel? Did anyone like that bitch? She had Ann Widdecomb's hair I think.

That happened quite often, as it wasn't just the audience who detested Hamble. None of the presenters could stand her either, so she'd get drop kicked across the studio, and once, when she wouldn't behave, Chloe Ashcroft took a dreadful liberty.

My favourites were: Play School, Rentaghost, Bagpuss, Going Live, Cities of Gold, Dog Tanian and the Three Muskahounds (is that right lol?) and Around the World in 80 Days (that dog in the top hat haha) and Pigeon Street. What were/are your faves?

If I were a dog they'd put me down. Todays Redmaiden health report:- my cold has developed into the stage where I go very deaf. I'm already deaf in my left ear so that when a cold affects my right ear I sharply notice the loss of hearing. I can still catch the most of a conversation but I feel cut off and almost like I am cocooned in a little world of my own. Hard to explain unless you have similar hearing problems. Not really terrible but it makes it quite hard socially and I find myself having to undertake detective work to undestand a conversation.

I'm ill with a cold.
